Making the most of an opportunity
My daughter’s three-hour long dance rehearsals were a winning opportunity for me. While she pirouetted her way through five rigorous dances, I sat under a tree with views of the Thames and wrote 1,500 words of my novel.
I also read a few chapters of somebody else’s novel and fell asleep on a picnic blanket before rushing home to watch my other daughter sing in a concert. She was stellar and the whole thing was rounded off by an Indian takeaway. Does life get much better than this? I don’t think so.
I’m on the winning team.
